On October 25th EKAM members enjoyed a
rideout around the roads of Kent, finishing at
the Spitfire Museum at Manston.
The café at the museum is excellent and very
popular. You may be lucky to see a plane
take off whilst tucking into all manner of well-
cooked fare, but if not, there’s always the
Spitfire to admire in the free-to-enter
museum.
And now you can have your bike serviced at
the same time! Andy Berryman, the
mechanic who many members will know from
the Kent Motorcycles’ Northdown Road
premises (now closed), has started his own
business. If you’ve found the museum in
Manston Road, just keep going and you’ll
shortly come to Drome Garage where Andy
is trading as Thanet Motorcycle Repairs. He
can do all servicing, MOTs, tyres, motorcycle
repairs, etc. The combination of a bike ride,
servicing, an interesting destination and
somewhere decent to eat is a good one and
makes for a very pleasant day out. You can
