A 3-year-old boy examined his testicles while taking a bath.
'Mum', he asked, 'Are these my brains'?
'Not yet', she replied.
The purpose of this ride was to have a relaxed outing and although tailored
towards two-up riders, solo riders enjoyed the day just as much. Here are two
reports, both from ladies: one rider and one pillion.
Edwina:
On Saturday morning, 18th July
approx. 06.00 a.m., I carefully opened
one eye and then listened hard for the
sound of rain on glass, and to my
amazement the sun was out and it
was a glorious morning.  The other
half leapt (well almost) from the bed
and immediately went into the natural
order of the day – shower, shave and
then stomach.  For me it was hair,
make up and a cup of tea.  Before I
knew it he was striding down the path
shouting over his shoulder, “you lock
up, I will see you down by the bike”.
Yes dear. Quick check all was in
order, stroke the cat and down to the
garage.
We set off a little ahead of time –
must be a first for us – and then we
had to stop for petrol.  Why can’t you
men fill up the day before to save
stopping and one less time of having
to get on and off the bike?  Off down
the motorway to the tunnel and on
arrival was amazed to see
everyone already there and
greeted by happy smiling faces.
Went through the check in ok,
then all eight bikes were pulled
over for the explosives test.
Helmets off, smile sweetly to the
lady, don’t give her any excuse to
spoil the day.
All clear and away we go.   We all
Jo:
An early start for the ferry, leaving
home at about 0540 meant that there
was no traffic on the roads, no queue
at the petrol station, and approaching
Dover, a blast of sunlight straight into
your face as you emerged from the
other side of the hills.  No rain though.
What is it with the British and
queues?  The line of cars going
through passport control was
enormous. I was worried how long it
was going to take, but then made use
of the completely empty lane to the
right and sailed straight through.  Into
the allocation lanes for the boat and
only had to wait a few minutes before
loading commenced, bikes going on
first (have to think about the breakfast
queue!), but not all the bikes had
arrived. Here we go!
Well, three of us loaded, made it to
the restaurant and treated ourselves
to a hearty meal before the mêlée
were aboard. We were joined by the
other two bikes, three people in all,
