Finding an extra special Christmas Club Night speaker can be fraught with problems. Some years we hit gold 9 months before the event, other years we are still sweating on a confirmation from someone in November. This year was, in hindsight, mainly stress free, helped in no small way by Richard Watson, (for the newer members, Richard is one of our two long time Examiners). Richard had organised a talk by Russ Malkin at Maidstone Police HQ back in early summer, so we had a great lead in. With Richard’s help I contacted Russ’s PA and the rest is almost history. However it soon became clear that having Russ as a speaker was going to change the format of our tried and trusted Christmas Club Night. With thanks to Sandyacres for the buffet
